Information screens reach employees on the “floor”
The information screens are the primary channel for internal communication with the employees on the “floor” at Arlas Dairy. The screens are used for important information about daily operations: if a machine in production is out of order, if there is a visit from a foreign delegation or if there is cake in the canteen.
The screens have replaced the many printed notices that, for example, hung by the sink and instructed the employees in hygiene and safety. The screens are a far better solution than the posts that had to be renewed, fell down and got dirty. The screens are quick to update and easily grab people’s attention.
Storytelling is important for employee engagement
Arla has carried out a large internal study that points to the importance of storytelling across the large global organisation. By sharing good news, it is possible to tell employees that they are helping to make a difference.
